The Ente Tutela Pesca owns and manages several fish farms for the production of brown trout, marble trout, and now also grayling fingerlings, juveniles and adults. ETP has also a fish farming plant certified as a VHS and IHN free plant (VHS, Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia, and IHN, Infective Hematopoietic Necrosis). This plant is flywheel farm where to stock, house, tag and genetically characterize the breeding stocks. Production is aimed to restocking operations; in 2011 ETP released into public freshwaters of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia (northeastern Italy) significant numbers of juveniles and adults of different species ( data and graphics by Francesco Bregant, ETP). |
